Our practice does not provide a routine after-hours service. Between 7:00 pm and 8:00 am, all patients requiring medical assessment or treatment are referred to Townsville University Hospital or call on 07 4733 1111.

In exceptional circumstances, Dr Prasad may, at his sole discretion, provide a private after-hours callout. This service is not routinely available and is subject to the doctor’s availability and clinical judgement.

Where an after-hours private callout is provided, a private callout fee of $600 applies in addition to the standard consultation fee and any procedure fees. This service is not covered by the practice’s routine billing arrangements, and payment is required at the time of consultation unless otherwise agreed.

If your condition is life-threatening or you require urgent emergency medical attention, please call 000 immediately or attend the Emergency Department at Townsville University Hospital 07 4733 1111.

If your condition is non-life-threatening but requires medical attention after hours, please present to Townsville University Hospital, where after-hours medical care is available.

This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure our patients continue to have access to appropriate after-hours care.
